Death Takes M. A. Forbes
Mont Andrew Forbes, a former teacher in Azusa City Schools, and one of the organizers of the once popular 20-30 Club in Azusa, died recently.
Funeral services were held Saturday at White’s Funeral Home with Rev. B.J. Paroulek, pastor of First Presbyterian Church officiating. There was also a Masonic Service conducted by Azusa Lodge 305, F&AM of which Mr. Forbes was a member. Interment was in Oakdale Memorial Cemetery.
He was a native of Monte Vista, Colorado where he was born on March 28, 1903. He came to Azusa in 1927 to teach physical education and to coach several different sports.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy, of the home address in Whittier; sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Grandel of Covina and Mrs. Bernardine Clark of Long Beach.
