DEATH OF J. W. ELLIS

J. W. Ellis died at his home near Memphis, Mo., Saturday evening, Jan. 27, 1917, aged 67 years. He was born near Keosauqua and his home was in this county until about two years ago when he sold his farm near Milton and moved to Missouri. He leaves a wife and five children and was a brother of Wm. Ellis, of Des Moines township, this county. He attended Troy Academy, where he was recognized as a good student. Wesley Ellis had many friends wherever he was known. Bright's disease was the fatal malady. Funeral services were held at the home near Memphis, Mo., Jan. 29 at 2 p.m.
