SAMUEL STEINMEYER
--------------
Funeral services of Samuel Steinmeyer were held Saturday at Farmington, upon the arrival of a nephew, Carroll Steinmeyer of Laramie, Wyoming. His age was 76 and he was the last of a family of pioneers by that name who settled near Farmington. He was found dead in his shop about eight o'clock last Wednesday morning when Miss Thelma Moreland stopped to inquire as to his health which had been failing for some time, and he was almost blind.
He made his home in his shop, known as the Fixit Shop, dealer in second hand goods, antiques, watches and clocks. Mr. Steinmeyer was a good mechanic. For several years he made his home in Keosauqua where he operated a shop, and was at one time operator of the Keosauqua electric light plant.
