Mrs. H. L. Whitmore of Bonaparte was called to St. Paul, Minn., last week end [sic] by the death of her granddaughter, Miss Dorothy Hitsman, 19 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Hitsman. The mother is the former Thelma Whitmore. Miss Hitsman's death was caused by gas escaping from a gas stove. She was employed as a Lens Grinder for the Kindy Optical Co.

Dorothy Alene Hitsman, 2253 S[??]dder, St. Paul, Minn. was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice [?] Hitsman who survive, also the following sisters and brothers, Maurice, Jeanne Marie, Carol, Margaret and David. Also surviving are her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Whitmore of Bonaparte.

Miss Hitsman was born May 13, 1926 and passed away April 5, 1945. Funeral services were held at 3:30 [ ? ] April 7 with interment in the [ ? ] Memorial Park.
