--Dec. 27, 1908, Mrs. Abbie Nixon died at her home in South Keosauqua, following a steady decline in health for several months. Her age was 86. She was born in Ohio and came to this county at an early date and in 1859 she was married to Jonathan Nixon, who died about 1888. Since the death of her husband she resided alone in the residence that had been the home of herself and husband since coming to Keosauqua. The funeral was held Tuesday Dec. 29, Rev. Perkins being in charge of the services.
