MRS. LUCY A. MORELAND

Mrs. Lucy A. Moreland, wife of Wm. Moreland, died at noon Tuesday, May 21, at the family home on Third street, after a lingering illness of cancer of the stomach. Lucy A. Randall was born in Nauvoo, Ill, May 6, 1844, moved to Iowa in 1846. She was married to William Moreland in 1870, and after living two years in Glenwood returned to Farmington, which has been her home ever since. Three sisters, Mrs. Sophie White of Fredonia, N.Y.; Mrs. Lydia Jones and Miss Ella Randall of Bonaparte are left to mourn her loss; also a husband and five children, Sophie of Farmington, Richard, Arthur, George and Ida of Chehalis, Wash. The funeral services were held from the house Friday at 2:30, Rev. S. E. Wilkin of the Baptist church officiating.

Mrs. Moreland united with the Baptist church in 1890 and has been a devoted member since that time. The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad hour of bereavement.
