A ron [sic] Struble, son of Jacob and Louisa Struble was born in Hawkin county, Ohio, March 20, 1840, and departed this life at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Wm Vale, December 23, 1916, at the age of 76 years, 9 months and 3 days.

At the age of three years he moved with his parents to Iowa where he grew to manhood and lived until his death. On the 4th day of February, 1864, he was united in marriage to Margaret Elizabeth Davis, who preceeded him to the Heavenly home 18 months ago. To this union was born seven children, Cora Bell, Eva Mae, Thomas and James, all deceased; Frank Louisa [sic], John and Charles, who were at the bedside of their father until he was called away. He leaves to mourn his loss besides two sons and a daughter, a sister, Mrs. Jane Tulley, of Kirksville, Missouri, and a brother, Noah Struble, of Red Oak, Iowa, also [ten?] grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday at the M. E. church at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. H. Jones. Interment was made in the Hoskins cemetery north of Cantril.
