Mrs. Ed Williams, 76, Fairfield, died early Saturday morning, Jan. 30 at the Jefferson County Hospital where she had been admitted Friday.
Funeral services were held at the Raymond Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 1 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Gilmore officiating. Burial was in the Mount Moriah Cemetery, north of Douds.
Mary Catherine Williams, was born Dec. 3, 1894, at Osceola, Mo., the daughter of Joseph E. and Lucetta Stansberry Boggs. She was reared and educated in Van Buren County, just north of Douds.
She was married to Ed Williams on Dec. 9, 1914 at Libertyville. He died on Aug 5, 1963. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Iona Sigma.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Alberta Lambeth of Ottumwa; one son, Donald L. Williams of Nevada; three granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons in infancy and one brother.
