Pauline Evelyn Steeples, 88, of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Bonaparte, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2006 at the Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Born January 29, 1918 in Mt. Sterling, Iowa, she was the daughter of James Earl and Mary Lurena Totten Troutman. On September 17, 1939 in Kahoka, Missouri, she married Howard Steeples. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1981.

Survivors include: two daughters Mary Ann Steeples of Des Moines, Iowa and Tamara (Timm) Rankin of Orlando, Florida, one son James H. (Wendy) Steeples of Middleburg, Florida, three granddaughters Janna (Tom) Burgess, Abby Rankin, and Halee Steeples, one grandson Travis Steeples, one step-granddaughter Nikki Miller, one step-grandson Coedy Silvers, and two sisters Wanda Adams of Burlington, Iowa and Mary Davis of St. Michael, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers: Joe, Elmer, and Edgar and one sister Esther.

Pauline retired from Steeples Hog Market and Troutman Auction. She was a member of the St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Orlando, Florida and a member of the Farmington United Methodist Church for over 50 years before moving to Florida.
