MRS. JACKSON FUNERAL.
Birmingham.--Funeral services for Mrs. Zadie Emma Jackson, 71, wife of Henry Jackson, who died at her home in Birmingham Saturday afternoon were held Monday at 1:30 p. m. at the Methodist Episcopal church in Birmingham. Burial was in Maple Hill cemetery.
She is survived by her husband; four children, Mrs. Alpha Moore of Eldon, Mrs. Etha Meek and Mrs. Edna Cannady of Birmingham, and Clarence Jackson of Ottumwa; two sisters, Mrs. Sena Topping of Birmingham and Mrs. Ella Bates of a suburb of Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, Clayton Sherod of Keosauqua and Amos Sherod of Valley Junction; fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
One son, Earl, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charlie; sister, Mrs. Mary Syfert, and half brother, Bordman Sherod.
She resided on the home farm west of Birmingham until three years ago when the couple moved to Birmingham. She was born October 29, 1865, near Mt. Zion, Iowa, the oldest daughter of William and Elizabeth Sherod, and was married to Henry Jackson November 2, 1884. The Jacksons celebrated their golden wedding anniversary two years ago. The Rev. Harry C. Druse of Birmingham was in charge of the funeral services Monday afternoon.
