Jesse Kennedy, a member of Co. G. 50th Iowa, living near Big Mound, who was somewhat run down from fever took the nosebleed on the departure of his regiment from Jacksonville, Florida, last week and became so bad he had to be left at Kankakee, Ill., where he died last Friday. His body was sent home arriving there Monday of this week, and was buried at Sharon Tuesday at 11 o’clock.
