Gale Ward Dooley, 68, died March 14, 1973 at 12:15 a.m. at Mahaska Hospital. He was born April 26, 1904, at Selma, to Edward and Clara Bevier Dooley. He worked in sales promotion, traveling extensively throughout the United States and Canada. On April 18, 1925, he married Fern Nason at Keosauqua. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. Surviving are his widow of Oskaloosa;one daughter, Mrs. Darlene Arnold of Fairfield; one son, Dick of Des Moines; two grandchildren; one brother, Dean Dooley of Douds, and four sisters, Mrs. Gleda Davis and Mrs. Gwendolene Lepper of Selma, Mrs. Lorean Lynch of Knoxville, and Mrs. Melva McClure of Floris. Burial is in Pleasant Grove Cemetery at Sigourney.
