Two Teachers Tied.

Yesterday afternoon at the home of Dr. and Mrs. J. Biddle, South Ninth St., occurred the marriage of their granddaughter, Miss Margaret E. Vale, and Mr. A. G. Roberts, both of Bonaparte, Iowa.

It was a very quiet but pretty wedding, only the families and a few relatives and friends being present. The bride was beautifully attired in a yellow silk mull gown and wore a pretty bunch of bride's roses, the groom being attired in the conventional black.

Promptly at 5 o'clock the couple entered the parlors unattended and were united in marriage by Dr. W. T. Campbell of this city in a short and impressive service. After congratulations the company was seated at tables tastily decorated with fern leaves, sweet peas and bride's roses and served to a bountiful wedding supper.

The bride is the youngest daughter of ex-Senator and Mrs. B. Rex Vale. Mr. Vale is the president of Farmers and Traders Bank and an extensive farmer and breeder of blooded stock at Bonaparte, Iowa. Mrs. Roberts is a bright, attractive and accomplished young lady and a teacher in the public schools of Bonaparte.

The groom is principal of the Bonaparte schools and a son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Roberts of Keosauqua, Iowa, Mr. Roberts being a prominent farmer and a breeder of Angora goats.

Among those present from out of the city were Mr. and Mrs. B. Rex Vale and son Bruce of Bonaparte, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Roberts and daughters Misses Crete and Jessie, of Keosauqua, and Prof. Bruce Biddle, of Espinoia, N. M.

The bride and groom left last night for Chicago. They will take a trip on the lakes and visit relatives in Ohio before returning to their home in Bonaparte. –– Monmouth, (Ill.) Evening Gazette, August 17th.
