Smith-Burton--Mr. Calvin Smith of Kansas City, Mo., and Miss
Fanny Burton of this county, at the residence of the brides parents at 10 o'clock a.m. October 16, 1881, the Rev. H.K. Henneigh, of Bonaparte, officiating.

The wedding was a very quiet one there being but few guests present. The bride was handsomely and stylishly attired in a traveling suit of dark green material. The happy couple started on the noon train for their home in Kansas City, carring with them the warm wishes and good will of a host of friends.
