Married
GOODELL-TAYLOR--On June 27th, 1888 at the residence of Mr. Lewis Taylor near Big Mound, Io., Mr. Flag Goodell of Atchinson, Kan., and Miss Mary Taylor, Rev. H. C. Baldridge officiating.Miss Minnie Taylor, the bride, is so well known as to need no word of introduction. She is the center of a large circle of acquaintances, who have often enjoyed her ability to entertain. Near friends are rather restive over the arrangement which proposes to take her her from old scenes and associations. The musical treats given by herself and brother Sherman will long be remembered by them.
Mr. Goodell now residing in Atchinson, Kan., formerly lived in Farmington, Io. It was while there, he layed the trap, by which he captured and now proposes to carry away his bride. He is a musician of no mean ability. His profession is Instructor in music. For the present, the newly made man and wife will make Atchinson their home.
There were about 25 guests present doing their part as witnesses of the ceremony, which was solemnized at 4 p.m., after which we were led out to a comfortable feast, appreciated and highly enjoyed by all.
We wish to join our voice with other friends in wishing them a long, a happy and a prosperous life. B.C.H.
