ARE WEDDED ON CHRISTMAS DAY [1931]
The marriage of Miss Edith Carlson, youngest daughter of Mr. & Mrs. V.F. Carlson and Dale Murphy, second son of Mr. & Mrs. Charlie Murphy was soleminzed at the M.E. parsonage at Memphis, Mo., Friday, December 25, 1931 at 10 0'clock a.m. The Rev. Paul Barton performed the double ring ceremony in an impressive manner.
They were attended by Clarissia Murphy, sister of the bridegroom, and Clifford Carlson, brother of the bride.
The bride was graduated from Milton high school with the class of 1925 and has since been one of the successful teachers of Van Buren County. The brigegroom was graduated from Milton high school in 1927 with athletic honors. He attended Iowa State college for one year and has since been employed on a farm. Both are well known in this vicinity of Milton and have many friends who will wish them happiness and success. The immediate families gathered at the home of the bride's parents for a wedding dinner. Mr. & Mrs. Murphy will be at home to their many friends after January 1 [1931] on a farm south of Milton.
