February 2, 1888....The story is told that when William Price returned from getting his marriage license, he place it in the "top drawer", with all of the other valuable papers. On his wedding day, he reached in the drawer, took the top paper, and was on his way to get married. When his mother happened to look in the drawer, she discovered that Will had taken the wrong paper. He had taken a deed to property by mistake. She immediately sent brother John on horseback to make the exchange.
John always told, "Will was going to ge a warranty deed for his wife."
