SCHMIDT – SUTTON – At the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Schmidt, on the evening of March 28th, Mr. William F. Schmidt and Miss Marry A** Sutten, by Rev. H.O. Baldridge.

About 35 invited guests were present and all seemed determined to get all the enjoyment afforded by such an occasion.

Mr. Schmidt has in a large degree the faculty of making visitors feel at home.

The young married pair are bright and intelligent, and there is no reason why they should not get on in the world. The list of presents was quite large and will find a useful place in the new home. We wish them peace, prosperity and plenty.. H.G.B.

[year not stated but position in scrapbook would suggest 1889 and “89” was handwritten on article. Bride’s surname spelled Sutton in one place and Sutten in anther it appears.]
