J.B. Day met with severe accident: 1878

THURSDAY, SEPT. 19, 1878

J.B. Day, of Cedar Township met with a severe accident last Friday. He and his brother had started to the county fair, and one of the horses got a chip fastened in his shoe, which Mr. Day attempted to take out, when the horse jumped and struck him with his foot, putting his shoulder out of place and otherwise injuring him. The shoulder was set, and Mr. Day is recovering.
