I have in my possession the Joel WALKER Family Bible. I have transcribed the
family information sheets that are in the back of the Bible. Below is my
transcription of those pages. It is considered a primary source
of the events that are listed because they were written as they occurred.

Mary Fetrow a daughter of David and Barbara Fetrow was born November the 24 AD 1818

Eliza Howard A Daughter of Henry and Patience Howard was born August the 27 AD 1808 {in Maryaland Near Mokton at Long Green}

Adaline M. Walker, A daughter of Joel and Mary Walker was born June 4th A.D. 1837

Amanda E. Walker, a daughter of Joel and Eliza Walker was born June 27th A.D. 1841

Clarence L. Walker, a son of Joel and Eliza Walker was born April 9th A.D. 1846

Alford H. Walker, a son of Joel and Eliza Walker was born October 4th A.D. 1848

Edwin H. Walker a son of Joel and Eliza Walker was born July 8th 1852.

Baby - A Son of E. H. Walker and Ida Walker was born September 17th / 1886

Allfy Walker Son of E H Walker was born Feb 5th, 1890

Clarance S. Walker - Son of E. H. Walker Born at Keosauqua Iowa Oct 6th. - 1887.

Florence L. Walker Died Nov 18th 1901 Noon at 612 Mason St. SF

Amanda E. Walker McClury Died April 18th 1904 age 62 years 9 mo. and 21 days Oakland Cal.

Alford H. Walker March 8, 1915 at 7:45 AM Age 66 yr. 5 mos. 4 das.

Anna Bell Walker died 11 K PM March 13th 1875 at Keokuk (Consumption)

Newspaper clipping:
“School in districts Nos. 2 and 5, of Jackson township, were closed on Tuesday on account of the funeral of Isaiah Howard.”

Baby - Son of E. H. Walker and Ida Walker departed this life September 18th / 1886

Alford Son E. H. & Ida Walker Died June 12 (th?) 1890 Aged 4 mo. & 7 da.

Newspaper clipping from “Ottumwa” newspaper:
“CLARENCE L. WALKER.
“Clarence Linden Walker was born in Keosauqua, Iowa, April 9, 1846 and died at the Ottumwa hospital, April 18, 1926, nine days after he reached his eightieth birthday and two days preceding his fifty-seventh wedding anniversary.
“Mr. Walker attended the state university, at Iowa City with W. W. Baldwin, now vice-president of the C. B. & Q. railroad. April 20, 1869, he was married to Miss Harriett E. McArthur of Keosauqua and they made their home in Pella, where for a number of years, Mr. Walker held a position as telegraph operator.
“In 1874, they came to Ottumwa where Mr. Walker became a member of the lumber firm, Kirk & Walker, remaining a member of the firm for about ten years. The surviving children are Mrs. J. C. Stevens of Ottumwa; George Walker of Chicago and Charles C. Walker of Mt. Pleasant.
“Funeral services were held in Ottumwa, Tuesday morning, April 20, in charge of the Rev. W. G. Ramsay, pastor of the First Congregational Church. Burial was made in the Purdum Cemetery at Keosauqua. --Contributed.”
