Corns-Cresap Wedding.

Mr. Orja Glenwood Corns of Chicago and Miss Florence Bell Cresap were united in marriage at the home of the bride in Bonaparte, Iowa, Wednesday afternoon at four o'clock, Father Peter J. O'Callaghan of Chicago officiating. Honorable T. J. McNally of Chicago was the groomsmen and Miss Ethel Packer of Bonaparte was bridesmaid.

Among the guests were the following from outside the county: - Hon. T.J. McNally, Miss Hickey, and Edjo? McCue of Chicago, O.F. Burkland of Centerville, Iowa, Mrs. J.K. Wilson of Des Moines, Miss Margaret Meek of Keokuk, Miss Nellie Sellers of LaGrange, Mo., and Miss June Cheney of Carthage, Ill.

Miss June Cheney played the march while the wedding party came down the stairs and took their place under a floral bell amid decorations of ferns and fall roses. The general color scheme was green and white.

After the ceremony a bridal luncheon was served, the refreshments at this time and for the wedding reception being in accord with the general color scheme, just being presented a box containing a small piece of bride's cake.

About one hundred guests were present at eight o'clock of the same day to enjoy the wedding reception and feast their eyes upon the beautiful gifts which the many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Corns had taken pleasure in presenting them. The reception the Bonaparte Band furnished a very pleasing serenade and brought the "happy pair" to the veranda for the inspection of those who were "on the outside looking in!"

The bride is an only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Cresap and has spent her life until her wedding day in Bonaparte. She has taken an active part in church and society where her ability as a musician always gave her a prominent place. She was attired in a gown of white mulle with valenciennes lace, the bridal veil being fastened by a LaValliere of pearls, the groom's gift to her.

Mr. Corns is in the employee of the banking firm of E. H. Rollins & Sons, Chicago, and stands high in their esteem. He was a resident of Bonaparte for several years and was for the most part educated in the schools of this town where he has many friends who extend congratulations for his success in business and in matrimony. He was attired in the conventional black.

Mr. and Mrs. Corns went to Chicago Thursday and will be at home after November 1 one in their new home at 4441 Prairie Avenue.

Note: Year not given but position in scrapbook would suggest 1907.
