SALEM WOMAN KILLED IN HIGHWAY ACCIDENT
Mrs. Steve Steffensmeier, 70, of Salem was killed and her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Florence Steffensmeier was seriously injured Sunday morning in an auto collision on highway No. 16 north of St. Paul in Lee county.
The other car was driven by Frank W. Hootman, 25, of Birmingham, who is a guard in the ordnance plant near Burlington. Hootman was not seriously injured.
According to Lee county authorities the Steffensmeier car was crossing the highway when it was struck broadside by the other car.
