WEDDING BELLS.

Ring Out, To Herald the News of Two
Loving Hearts Vibrating in Unison.

Thursday evening, May 4, 1893, there occurred a pretty home wedding at the residence of Mrs. Isaiah Meek, in Bonaparte. MR. BRIAN F. MEEK AND MISS ISABEL DEVOUE being the contracting parties. At 7:30 o'clock Rev. Geo. W. Barber, of Selma, a personal friend of the family, performed the impressive ceremony that made them man and wife. In happy contrast to the storm without was the beautiful scene within. The house was profusely decorated with potted plants, smilax and roses. The couple stood beneath a large heart of yellow and white roses, under a canopy ofas smilax. The bride looked lovely in a wedding gown of cream colored crystal silk, with dutches lace and pearl trimmings. She wore diamond ornaments and carried a large bunch of Niphetos roses. The groom wore the conventional dress suit. The bride has spent most of her life in our midst, and his beloved for her sweet disposition and charming personality.

The groom is the second son of the late Isaiah Meek, is well known, and a prominent business man. He has grown from boyhood to manhood among us, and has hosts of friends who unite in wishing him and his fair bride a pleasant journey down the stream of life.

Owing to a recent bereavement, no invitations were issued, and only immediate relatives present.
