A happy event transpired at the residence of H. Horn, Esq., of Hillsboro, Iowa, Nov. 24, 1892, in the marriage of the charming Miss Maud Hicks to Mr. Joe Israel, of Bonaparte. This union like others that have transpired, is the consummation of desires in the hearts of mutually attracted individuals and we hope of desires for the future. The ceremony took place in the presence of relatives and a few friends. Rev. J. Lee uttered the words that bound these two souls together for weal or woe, and it is to be hoped that much of the former and none of the latter will fell to their lot in life. They are both well known here and are popular in society and have a host of friends who join with us in the well wishes we have expressed. Friday night air reception was held at the residence of the groom's parents, J. D. Israel, Esq., where a number of their young friends were present to enjoy an evening of pleasure and bid them God speed.
