Married.
BROWN-BATEMAN - At the residence of Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Bateman, Monroe, Jasper county, Iowa, July 18, 1889, Mr. Ira E. Brown of Runnells, Polk county, Iowa, to Miss Winnie G. Bateman of Bonaparte, Iowa, Rev. James Welch of Troy officiating.
The bride was better known as Miss Winnie Davis, from the fact of her making her home for the last thirteen years with Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Davis. Here she has a host of friends who will wish her well in her new relations in life.
Mr. Brown is a prosperous young merchant of Runnells, well thought of by all. He is certainly to be congratulated on his choice of a life partner. The JOURNAL wishes him a long and useful life, and that they may always be happy as now.
