Married.

WILEY-FOSTER - On Tuesday Oct. 23d, 1888, at the hospitable home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Foster, near Big Mound, Iowa, Mr. Eli Wiley and Miss Anna Foster, were united in Marriage. The guests were intimate friends and near relations of the contracting parties to the number of about thirty. Mr. Wiley is among the best of the many intelligent and promising young men of that neighborhood. Miss Anna is so well and favorably known that our praise is not needed. Altogether, the new household is one from which we may expect much usefulness both in church and state.

At 2:20 p.m. two hours and twenty minutes after the time arranged in the programme, which delay was caused by the minister not being able to arrive sooner, the ceremony was performed. After congratulations, we were led out to dinner, and such a feast! Our host although noted for his hospitality, fairly outdid himself. Dinner over, preparations began for reaching Farmington in time for the evening train, which was to carry Mr. and Mrs. Wiley to Wichita, Kan., where they expect to spend a few weeks visiting friends.

We wish them a safe, a pleasant and a prosperous journey, not only to Wichita but on through life even to its end.

H C BALDRIDGE, officiating minister.
