Baker-Meek.
On Saturday at high noon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Daniel, occurred the marriage of their niece Miss Edith Marguerite Meek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Meek, to Mr. Eugene Ross Baker. The service was read by the Rev. John C. Sage, rector of St. John’s Episcopal church. The Bridal Chorus was played by Agne’s orchestra.
There were no attendants save the bride’s father, who gave her in marriage. The bride wore a very handsome gown of white charmless satin, with tulle Veil and carried a shower banquet of lilies of the valley and maiden hair fern. Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served. The decorations in the dining room and through the house were green and white.
Forty relatives and intimate friends were guests at the wedding, those from out of town being Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Meek and son, Marshall, of Bonaparte. After a wedding journey through the south, Mr. and Mrs. Baker will be at home May first, at 404 Orleans Ave. — Gate City.
