At high noon, Dec. 28, 1911, at the home with the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Gaston three miles south of Bentonsport occurred the wedding of Mr. Leonard E. Elliot and Miss Cora Gaston, Rev. John H. Taylor of Farmington officiating. The guests were the families of the contracting parties. A sumptuous wedding dinner was served and the afternoon delightfully spent.
The bride was dressed in golden brown messaline silk, being beautifully attired. She is well known in Bonaparte having been employed here in the clothing factory and she has many friends here who wish her much joy.
Mr. Elliott is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Elliott of near Bentonsport. They have been enjoying a visit with relatives and friends here and in Ft Madison. They will locate on Mr. Elliott’s 100 acre farm near the state agricultural college at Goodwell, Okla.
The day following the wedding, the bride's parents and Mr. and Mrs. L. E. were entertained at the F. M. Elliott home.
