Forman-Leffler.

Wednesday noon, June fifteenth, 1910, at her father’s home, “Cedar Flat”, occurred the marriage of Martha M. Leffler to Lee W. Forman. Only a few relatives and several college friends were present besides the immediate family. No attempt was made to have an elaborate display and everything was conducted in as informal a manner as possible. Carnations in the parlor and pansies in the dining room were the only decorations. Rev. Fred Berry, of Indianola, who conducted a series of meetings at Harrisburg last winter, was the officiating minister. Immediately after the ceremony the company assembled in the dining room where a splendid four course dinner was served by Misses Mary Vale and Elizabeth Leffler.

The groom, who wore the usual black, is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. (or I. W.) Forman, of West Branch. He was reared on a farm, was graduated from the West Branch high school, and later removed to Ames where he was graduated with the 1909 class from the State College. While in college he was known as a hard worker and had many friends. He was prominently identified with Y.M.C.A. work. He is now working with the Agronomy Dep’t. of the experiment station of Ames College as Field Superintendent. Mr. Forman has a home in readiness for his bride, at 400 Ash Avenue, Ames, Iowa, which they will immediately occupy.

The birde is a Van Buren county product, having been born in Cedar township. She also attend school in Ames almost finishing the course in Domestic Economy. She was prominent in Christian work and was a member of the Y.W.C.A cabinet for one year. She is one of a family of eight children and is the third one to marry a college friend. Her many friends unite in wishing them a prosperous journey together.

Those from away in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Forman and Jesse Forman, Mt. Pleasant; Mr. and Mrs. Lutie? Forman, Clearfield; Mr. and Mrs L. W. Forman, West Branch; Mr. and Mrs. Mosher, Miss Zelma Zentmire, Ames; Mr. George M. Nelson, Goldfiend; Miss Clara Steen, West Liberty, Ia.; Mrs. Conrella Wise, Denver, Colo.
