A Double Wedding

Lewis Fowler and Miss Bessie McBride and Charles A. Fletcher and Miss Fanny Fern Fowler drove to Ottumwa on Wednesday, April 7, 1915, and when they returned they were Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Fowler and Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Fletcher.

Lewis Fowler is a son of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Fowler of Vernon township, and his bride is the daughter of a neighbor, Mrs. George McBride. They are estimable young people.

Charles A. Fletcher is a son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Fletcher of Harrisburg township. He is an honorable young man. He has taught in rural schools of this vicinity, has had training in automobile repairing, but being reared on a farm has decided to follow that useful pursuit. He had a home prepared for his bride on the Arlington Wiley farm just south of Big Mound.

Mrs. Fletcher has also been a rural teacher. She took a teacher training course in a college at Charlestown, Illinois, and a course in music at Highland Park college. She is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Fowler of Vernon township. The many friends extend best wishes.
