Stockport Farm Has Big Loss in Fire

Corn, Hay, New Wagon, Mower, Planter Destroyed, Steel Bin Damaged on Jake Vicars Tract.

All buildings except the residence on the Jake Vicars farm, two miles south of Stockport, were destroyed by fire of undetermined origin Tuesday afternoon.

In addition to the buildings, a new wagon, about 150 bushels of corn, a mower, corn planter, hayrake and a large haystack were destroyed. A steel bin containing about 150 bushels of beans was damaged.

Stockport's new truck had its initial workout at this blaze.

The farm is owned by a Ft. Madison resident, and it is said the buildings were insured.
