Ten Years Ago
Governor Dan Turner and party made a political tour of Van Buren county on Thursday, Oct. 6, speaking at Cantril, Milton, Keosauqua, Bonaparte and Farmington.
John and Mrs. Workman are now broadcasting from WCAZ, Carthage.
Francis Harlan, formerly of Stockport, died at Des Moines, Sept. 25th at the age of 80. He erected the first business building in Stockport in 1889.
Mrs. Ida Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Parish have recently completed a new residence on Bridge street, Keosauqua.
The annual meeting of the Van Buren county fair stockholders will be held Saturday of this week at the rest room in Keosauqua.
Ray Campbell, 44, well known barber of Stockport, died Tuesday at Jefferson county hospital.
Mrs. Viola Carns, 83, fell and broke her right shoulder at the Wm. Fowler home in Keosauqua.
