Baskets of yellow gladiola and fern decorated the altar of the First Baptist church in Bonaparte, Sunday, August 12, 1956, at 2:00 p.m., for the wedding of Anita Marie White, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rollo White of Bonaparte and Fred L. King of Queen City, Mo., son of Fred King of Queen City, Mo., and Mrs. Lillian King of Kirksville.

The Rev. Jerald Beltz read the double ring ceremony in the presence of relatives and friends. Mrs. Ella Burns played wedding music throughout the ceremony.

The bride’s attendant was Marceline Hainline, who wore an aqua street length dress with white accessories and wore a corsage of yellow carnations.

The bride wore a pink street length dress with white accessories and wore a corsage of white carnations.

Tom White of Queen City, Mo., served Mr. King as best man. Both wore white carnation boutonniers(sic).

A reception was held in the church parlors immediately following the ceremony.

Mrs. King is a graduate of the Bonaparte high school and was recently graduated from Missouri State Teachers College at Kirksville, Mo., on August 9, with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Mr. King is a graduate of Queen City high school, has served four years with the U.S. Navy, and is a student at Mo. State Teachers College.

After a short honeymoon, Mr. and Mrs. King will make their home at LaPlata, Mo.

Out of town guests were from Kansas City, Mo.; Pensecola(sic), Fla.; Kirksville, Mo.; Queen City, Mo.; Gorin, Mo.; Hammond, Ind.; Keosauqua and Farmington, Ia.
