Regur Resigns As County Treasurer

REGUR RESIGNS AS COUNTY TREASURER

Dan D. Regur has accepted a position in the war department of the civil service and will be stationed in Chicago about three months for training. His resignation became effective March 1. He was serving the second year of this third term as county treasurer of Van Buren county.

The board of supervisors appointed deputy treasurer Robert G. Dorothy to fill the vacancy until Mr. Regur's successor is elected.

Mr. Dorothy has appointed Marjorie Rigsby Parsons as deputy county treasurer and she will begin her duties in a few days. Mrs. Parsons was employed in the treasurer's office for five years and recently has been employed in the Farmers State Bank in Keosauqua.
