47 Van Buren Men Inducted by Board

19 of Group Are Volunteers; 5 Accepted Locally Failed to Pass Final Examination

The Van Buren county selective service board reports that since November the county has furnished 47 young men for induction into the armed forces of the country. Nineteen of these men volunteered to be among the first to begin training. In addition five other men were sent to army induction stations and were rejected there upon final examination.
