FAREWELL PARTIES
**Handwritten: 1932

A series of farewell parties have taken place recently in the vicinity of Utica, as follows:

On Saturday, Feb. 6, 83 people gathered at the home of John Hootman to bid the Hootman family farewell before they move to an 80 acre farm which they have bought near Birmingham.

On Wednesday evening, Feb. 10, 93 people gathered at the Marion Davis home on teh A.M. Davis farm to wish them good luck in their new location. They are going west probably to western Kansas.

Jay Johnston and family are moving to a farm near Mt. Pleasant. The farewell party in their honor was held Saturday evening, Feb. 13.

The W.F. Zugg family is leaving the Steve Johnston farm but have not yet, decided upon their next location. A farewell party for them was held on Wednesday night of this week.
