WALLINGFORD-CUMMINGS.

A Pretty Wedding South
of Bonaparte.

Last Wednesday Jan. 25, 1899, at high noon, occurred the marriage of Miss Cinda Cummings to Mr. James H. Wallingford. The ceremony was performed at the home of Robert Cummings one and one-half miles southeast of Bonaparte. The wedding was a quiet one, there being no one present only the near relatives of the contracting parties. As the clock chimed the hour of twelve, and Mrs. Minnie Cummings presiding at the organ played the inspiring strains of the wedding march, the bride and groom appeared in the entrance of the parlor with Miss Elsie Wallingford, as bridesmaid, and Mr. Levi Cummings, as groomsman. Rev. G. W. Barber, of Farmington, then performed the impressive ceremony which bound them to each other for life, after which their relatives tendered their sincerest congratulations and best wishes to the happy couple. A delightful dinner was served in the spacious living room immediately after the ceremony. The bride is a most highly esteemed and accomplished young lady, and was charmingly attired in a white wool dress tastefully trimmed. The groom is a son of Mr. Henry Wallingford of Harrisburg township, and is a prosperous young farmer. They will reside on a farm six and one-half miles northeast of Bonaparte.

Many handsome and useful presents were presented the young people. The afternoon was very pleasantly spent with both vocal and instrumental, music and social conversation, after which the relatives departed for their homes.
