BAUGHER-MAHLER.

A Pretty Wedding
North of Bonaparte.

Last Thursday evening Jan. 5th, 1899, at five o'clock occurred the marriage of Miss Emma K. Mahler to Mr. Thomas J. Baugher. The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Mahler, two miles north of Bonaparte. The wedding was a quiet one, there being no one present only the near relatives of the contracting parties. As the clock chimed the hour of five, and Miss Anna Mahler presiding at the piano played the inspiring _____ of the wedding march, the bride and groom appeared in the entrance of the parlor, which was beautifully decorated with smilax and rare plants. Rev. Father Daly of Farmington then performed the impressive ceremony which bound them to each other for life, after which their relatives tendered their sincerest congratulations and best wishes to the happy couple. The bride was very charmingly attired in a white wool dress tastefully trimmed with ______ and duchesse lace.

Many handsome and special presents were presented the young couple, among which were forty dollars in gold from the groom's brother, James, and a check for one hundred dollars from the bride's father.

The bride is a most highly esteemed and accomplished young lady, and the groom one of the most prominent citizens of the community. A delightful supper was served in the spacious dining room, Immediately after the ceremony, which consisted of three courses.

MENU, Olives, Celery, Jellies, Escalloped Oysters, Cold Turkey, Pickles, Potato Salad, Cranberry Sauce, Fruit Salad, Assorted Cakes, Fudges, Prepared Dates, Macaroons, Choice Candies, Fruit, Coffee.

The evening was very pleasantly ____ with both vocal and instrumental music, and social conversation after which the bride and groom departed for the future home near Big Mound.
