A Pretty Wedding.

The marriages of Miss Lizzie Davidson to J. Haney Anderson was solemnized last Thursday evening, August 18?th, at the house of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Davidon, three miles south of town.

Almost thirty were present to witness the ceremony which was performed by Rev. Barber, pastor of the M. E. church in Farmington.

At the appointed hour the bridal pair entered the parlor and in a very impressive manner the binding words were spoken.

The bride was dressed in a becoming gown of cream silk, with a charming effect of deftly arranged flowers in her hair.

After congratulating this happy pair the guests were ushered into the dining room where a delicious wedding supper was served; Mr. and Mrs. Anderson were remembered by their many friends with beautiful and appropriate presents.

These young people are well known in Bonaparte and vicinity. The bride is a refined, intelligent lady, highly respected by all who know her. The groom is a graduate of Bonaparte High School, and for the past three years has been one of the most efficient teachers of Van Buren county, and with his ability and native dignity, he will command respect and meet success in what ever he undertakes. They will reside in Mt. Sterling, where Mr. Anderson has secured the principalship of the school.

The RECORD wishes those amiable young people a long life of happiness and prosperity.

[Note: handwritten on obit appears to be "98" as well as location in scrapbook suggests 1898]
