SEPTEMBER THE TENTH.

The Date of the Marriage of Two of
Van Buren County's Most
Popular People.

BURNETT - LEFFLER.

Thomas O. Burnett and Lena L. Leffler were married September 10, 1902, at the home of the bride's parents in Vernon township.

At 12 o'clock, noon, to the strains of a beautiful wedding march the bridal party took it's position and the few words were spoken by Rev. J. L. Ayrault uniting them in the bonds of legal wedlock.

The bride was gowned in white silk and the groom was attired in black.

The parents, brothers and sisters and the wife of the pastor were the only ones present to witness the ceremony.

After the wedding service the friends surrounded a table liberally spread with the good things Iowa affords and a pleasant social time was enjoyed.

Mr. and Mrs. Burnett are well known in this vicinity, have grown to mature life here. Mr. Burnett is a successful young farmer, a many of superior qualities of morals and intellect.

Mrs. Burnett is a lady well qualified to grace and adorn a home and Mr. Burnett is to be congratulated upon securing so worthy a companion.
