MIDDLETON MARRIED

At the Early Hour of 12:02, Sunday Morning.

MIDDLETON-ENDERSBY.

At the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Endersby, at 12:02 A. M., Sunday October 29 [overwritten with handwritten "0" replacing "9"] 1901 in Bonaparte, Iowa, Percy E. Middleton and Miss Octavo A. Endersby were happily wedded. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. J. A. Abbott and was a very quiet affair, none being present except the contracting persons, the father, mother and brother of the bride and the officiating clergyman. The news of the wedding was slow in spreading and it is possible that today there are citizens of Bonaparte who have failed to hear of it. Mr. Middleton is the youngest son of C. H. Middleton, the proprietor of Middleton's Grocery, and having lived in Bonaparte for a number of years is well known here. He is at present employed in his father's store. Mrs. Middleton is the only daughter of A. Endersby, a prominent farmer of Harrisburg Twp. who removed to Bonaparte some years ago. She is an affable and agreeable young lady of twenty-one summers - just eighteen days younger than her husband - and will make a pleasant companion. On account of the poor health of the bride's mother, they will for a time reside at the home of Mr. Endersby on Texas Street.

[hand written on article "Oct 20 01". Also "October 29" in article is overwritten with handwritten "0" replacing "9"]
