ON NEW YEAR’S EVENING.

Two of Bonaparte’s Best Young People.

WHITMORE – SCHMIDT.

The old year was dying and it was the eve of 1902 when Herbert L. Whitmore and Nellie I. Schmidt were made man and wife at the home of the bride’s parents two miles north of Bonaparte. Only a few invited guests were present to witness the ceremony which was performed at eight o’clock.

Mr. Whitmore is a son of Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Whitmore and has grown to manhood at his father’s home near town. He is a splendid specimen of manhood, moral and physical, and all who know him respect him.

Mrs. Whitmore is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Schmidt and was also raised in this community. She graduated from the Bonaparte Schools in the class of 1900 since which time she has resided at the parental home. She is a beautiful and accomplished lady and will make Mr. Whitmore a noble wife.

The RECORD extends congratulations and wishes them many years of happy wedded life.
