I, Michael Bannon being of sound mind and mindful of the uncertainties of human life do hereby make, publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner following:
I will, bequeath and devise to my son Richard Bannon my entire estate, consisting of the following property to wit:
The N.W.st quarter of Section (32) thirty two, Township (67) Sixty Seven Range (6) Six, 160 acres in all situated in Lee County and State of Iowa, together will all the buildings and improvements thereon, at the present time, or that may be thereon at the time of my death.
I also will, bequeath and devise to my Son Richard Bannon all my movable property now on the premises and that may be thereon, owned by me, from this date to the date of my death.
I will bequeath and devise to my daughter Rose now Mrs. Charles Stanwood the sum of $50.00 Fifty dollars to be paid to her in cash by my son Richard Bannon, (30) thirty days after the date of my death. And it is my last wish and request that my son Richard Bannon shall never in the future demand of the said Mrs. Charles Stanwood any remuneration for or part, or parcel, of that which I gave my daughter Rose after her marriage to Charles Stanwood.
I hereby noimnate and appoint, Mr. John Hayes of Lee County and State of Iowa the Executor of this my last Will and Testament, and direct that he be permitted to qualify as such Executor without being required to give bond in this his said trust, and I hereby authorize and empower him the said John Hayes, to compound compromise and settle any claim or demand which may be against or in favor of my said Estate.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this (23rd) Twenty-third day of August A.D. 1881.
