NOTABLE WEDDING AT BONAPARTE
The social event of the season at Bonaparte transpired on Thursday evening. It was the marriage of Mr. Wm. Meek and Miss Maggie M. Johnson. The bride is one of the most beautiful and amiable and charming young ladies of Bonaparte. Mr. Meek is the son of Robert Meek, of the firm of Meek & Bros., and the brother-in law of Geo. F. Smith, editor of the "Van Buren Democrat". He is a capital young man, and is to be congratulated upon having acquired the hand and heart of so estimable a young lady. The company that participated in the marriage festivities was large and the presents numerous and valuable.
The young couple strarted for Chicago at 9 o'clock that evening, going by way of Des Moines, and none have ever left that place who were followed by more cordial and heartfelt well wishes.
