post-script- Eleanor Hale was born circa 1804 in OH. Eleanor was also known as Ellen or Nellie.
She and Newton are buried at Egypt Cemetery.

Margaret Hale was first married to Thomas McCarty. They divorced. Margaret was born circa 1805 OH. Margaret McManis is buried at Center Chapel Cemetery in Keosauqua, Iowa.

James Wallace also spelled his surname as Wallis.

Alice Duncan was the daughter of David and Margaret Duncan of OH.

The McManis Family Bible is well cared for by Bob and Carol McManis of Iowa.
