Proper – Else
Dr. L.J. Proper and Miss Marie Else were married at Osborne, Kansas, Tuesday evening, December 26, 1905, and at once came for a visit with friends and relatives in Van Buren county.
Miss Else has been teaching at Downs, Kansas, and resigned her position to go to Wapello, Iowa, to make a home for Dr. Proper. Miss Else taught for several years in the schools of Van Buren county, presiding for one year over he school at the center of Harrisburg township. While here she boarded at the W.F. Proper home and here made the acquaintance which has culminated in marriage. She was a most successful teacher and a lady whom Mr. Proper may well be proud to introduce to his fiends in the county seat of Louisa county.
Mr. Proper is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Proper of Harrisburg township. He was graduated from the Bonaparte high school, took two years in the Iowa State College at Ames, and graduated from the Chicago Veterinary College.
Mr. and Mrs. Proper have many friends here who wish them abundant prosperity and happiness, in which the RECORD takes much pleasure in joining.
