Lane – Main.

Mr. Walter S. Lane of Bonaparte, Iowa, and Miss Lulu A. Main were married at the home of the bride’s parents at Carthage, Ill., Wednesday, June 27, 1906.

Mr. Lane came to Bonaparte in the spring of 1905 and since that time has been owner and proprietor of a stock of jewelry in the room formerly occupied by G. T. Newman, R. F. Jurgensen, and others. By his gentlemanly conduct, courteous treatment, and skilled workmanship he has made friends of his customers and of all whom he has met.

Mrs. Lane has been a successful teacher in the public schools in and near Carthage. She has never visited Bonaparte before and at this time has not been seen by the writer who consequently can say nothing of a descriptive nature. If she is good enough for Lane she is good enough for Bonaparte, and this town is pleased to welcome her and to extend congratulations.

They will go to housekeeping at once in the S. S. Troutman property near the Rock Island station where they will be at home after July 15.
