MARRIED IN ST. JOSEPH.
J. Peck Sharp and Miss Lenna Bell
Agreeably Surprise Their Friends
SEPTEMBER THIRD.

Miss Lenna Bell went to Chicago September 1 and Bonaparte people imagined she had gone to secure other employment than housekeeping.

On Wednesday, Sept. 3, J. Peck Sharp and Miss Bell took boat for St. Joseph and were married there.

On the return trip a storm came and made the return trip anything but pleasant for Mrs. Sharp, all of which Jim very graphically described in a letter to his father.

The contracting parties are both well known in Bonaparte, Mrs. Sharp having been born here and is a daughter of Mrs. Kate Bell.

Mr. Sharp lived in this town many of the 36 years which he has spent on this earth. He is well known to the baseball fraternity.

Note: handwritten on clipping is "1902"
