Wedding near Hamil.
At Sunnyside, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Newby near Mt . Hamil on Wednesday, October 19, 1904, at 1 o’clock p.m. occurred [sic] the marriage of their daughter, Anna, to Mr. Clyde Bell.
The beautiful and impressive ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Chas. Cochran of West Point under a floral horseshoe after which an elaborate course dinner was served. The tables were beautifully decorated with smilax. After all were bountifully served congratulations were in order. The bride was simply and tastefully gowned in white French lawn.
Miss Ada Powell, a cousin of the bride played the Mendelssohn’s wedding march and the company was entertained during the afternoon with music by Mrs. Cochran.
A number of useful and valuable presents were received and fully appreciated by the bridal pair.
Mr. Bell is an up-to-date, enterprising young farmer and has shown his usual good judgment in choosing a wife. They are both highly esteemed by a host of friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Bell left on the 4:30 train for southern California where they will remain a short time.
On their return they will reside at the “Pioneer Homestead” near Mt. Hamil.
