Wedded at Milton at Noon Wednesday, February 26th, 1902

SCHEYLI-HELSEL.

At high noon Wednesday, February 26, 1902, at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Titus Heisel, five miles north of Milton occurred the marriage of Miss Emma E. Heisel to Joseph F. Scheyli of Bonaparte, Rev. T. A. Renfro of Milton performing the ceremony.

About forty relatives and friends were present to witness the nuptials. Miss Meda Heisel played a beautiful wedding march while the bride and groom, preceded by the officiating minister, descended the stairs and took their places in the parlor which was prettily decorated for that occasion. In a short but deeply impressive ceremony, they were united as husband and wife. Congratulations were followed by a dinner consisting of everything the county afforded in that line. After an enjoyable afternoon with friends, Mr. and Mrs. Scheyli took the evening train for Bonaparte where the groom had a home in readiness to receive them, having provided the cage before catching the bird. They were the recipients of many beautiful and useful presents which will help them to remember this most memorable occasion.

Mrs. Scheyli is one of the accomplished teachers in the county, having taught in the graded schools of Milton. Mr. Scheyli is to be congratulated upon securing so excellent a lady to preside over his home. Joe Scheyli is a respected and prosperous farmer living two miles east of Bonaparte. By perseverance, industry, and honesty he has made for himself a name which any lady might be proud to share. That they may live long and happily together is the wish of their friends.
